§73.260 食品著色劑蔬菜汁(Vegetable juice)

  § 73.260   Vegetable juice.

 ?。╝) Identity. (1) The color additive vegetable juice is prepared either by expressing the juice from mature varieties of fresh, edible vegetables, or by the water infusion of the dried vegetable. The color additive may be concentrated or dried. The definition of vegetable juice in this paragraph is for the purpose of identity as a color additive only, and shall not be construed as a standard of identity under section 401 of the act. However, where a standard of identity for a particular vegetable juice has been promulgated under section 401 of the act, it shall conform to such standard.

  (2) Color additive mixtures made with vegetable juice may contain as diluents only those substances listed in this subpart as safe and suitable in color additive mixtures for coloring foods.

 ?。╞) Uses and restrictions. Vegetable juice may be safely used for the coloring of foods generally, in amounts consistent with good manufacturing practice, except that it may not be used to color foods for which standards of identity have been promulgated under section 401 of the act, unless the use of added color is authorized by such standards.

 ?。╟) Labeling. The color additive and any mixtures intended solely or in part for coloring purposes prepared therefrom shall bear, in addition to the other information required by the act, labeling in accordance with the provisions of §70.25 of this chapter.

 ?。╠) Exemption from certification. Certification of this color additive is not necessary for the protection of the public health, and therefore batches thereof are exempt from the certification requirements of section 721(c) of the act.

  §73.260 蔬菜汁

 ?。╝)特性:

  (1)著色劑用的蔬菜汁,系由成熟的各種新鮮可食用的蔬菜壓榨汁,或干菜的水浸汁制成的濃縮汁或干制品。本欄中所指的蔬菜汁僅作為著色劑用,而不是法規(guī)§401中所指的蔬菜汁。但法規(guī)§401節(jié)中所規(guī)定的蔬菜汁的標(biāo)準(zhǔn)和定義仍適用。

 ?。?)由蔬菜汁所配制成的著色劑混合物,只能選用合適的本分部所列的可安全地用于食品著色的著色劑混合物稀釋劑。

 ?。╞)使用和限制條件:蔬菜汁在其用量符合現(xiàn)行GMP用量條件下,可安全地用于一般食品的著色,但不得用于本法規(guī)§401中所頒布的已確定標(biāo)準(zhǔn)的食品的著色,除非所加入的色素是這類標(biāo)準(zhǔn)所允許的。

  (c)標(biāo)簽標(biāo)注方式:本著色劑和任何含有本著色劑的混合物,擬單獨(dú)使用或起部分著色效果時(shí),除法規(guī)所規(guī)定的其它所需說明外,其標(biāo)簽還應(yīng)符合本章§70.25中的規(guī)定。

 ?。╠)免除產(chǎn)品證書:本著色劑免除產(chǎn)品證書以保護(hù)公眾健康。所生產(chǎn)的每批產(chǎn)品也免除按法規(guī)§721(c)中所規(guī)定的需要產(chǎn)品證書。
